GRAND TRAVERSE AREA JAYCEES ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD

TRAVERSE CITY, MICHIGAN – The Grand Traverse Area Jaycees announce its new 2008 board members.

Sonja Morton, an AVP and Trust Tax Officer with Huntington National Bank, has been elected the 2008 President. She will be responsible for general management of the chapter. Sonja is a graduate of Lake Superior State University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. She is a fifth generation native of Leelanau County.
 
John Ferguson, an attorney with John Ferguson PLC in Elk Rapids, has been elected the 2008 Management VP. He will be responsible for Financial Management, Business Opportunities, Corporate Sponsorships and Marketing and Public Relations. John was formerly Legal Counsel for the Michigan Jaycees. John makes his home in Elk Rapids.

Patrick Sawhill, Director of Marketing for Servpro of Grand Traverse Area and owner of Servpro of Central Michigan has been elected the 2008 Community VP. He will act as our liaison with the community and is responsible for our community service projects Patrick is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a degree in Business Administration. He is formerly from Manistee and has been living in Traverse City since 2006.
 
Hans Benghauser, a Division Manager with Primerica Financial, has been elected the 2008 Individual VP. He will be responsible for our Personal and Professional Growth programs. He has been living in Traverse City since 1980.

Tiffany Morton, an Administrative Assistant with Advantage Electric has been elected the 2008 Membership Director. She will be responsible for Member Retention and Growth. Tiffany is a graduate of Northwestern Michigan College with a degree in Accounting. She is a life long resident of Leelanau County.
 
Katheryn Majeske, a R.N. with Munson Medical Center, has been elected the 2008 Treasurer and Secretary. She is a graduate from Ferris State University with an Associates Degree in Applied Science in Nursing. Kat is originally from Grant, Michigan and now makes her home in Lake Leelanau.
